A tender moment

Our second 1000-pieces puzzle. We spent about an hour doing up the edges. This is for a friend who has had it for years without any signs of completion. It's definitely more challenging than our first one, as the colors are of similar hues. Brute force attack!

By the way, we counted that 1000 pieces consist of 40x25 pieces, as the rows and columns are always in proper alignments.

Passed by Singapore Flyer this afternoon. At 165m, it currently stands as world's tallest Ferris wheel.

Durian Chendol

One of the must-tries in Malacca: Nyonya chendol topped with durian paste. We had 2 bowls of these, at No 1 Kopitiam and then at Jonker 88.

Christ Church Melaka

The famous Christ Church at Malacca's Dutch Square, just a stone's throw away from where we stayed for the night. It's my second time visiting this place since 2003.

Blue lantern

A blue lantern sold at Ikea. The candle's missing, though. They should have placed a tea candle there as this was on the display together with wooden bench and table in a garden setting.

Budget Terminal

Picking up my parents at Budget Terminal tonight. The arrival hall is located next to departure hall, but I shot this one instead since it's nearer to where we parked.

A temple in the night

Passed by Chee Hoon Kog Temple located along Anchorvale Link on our way to Anchorvale CC for a cup of Oreo McFlurry.

Had small gathering with friends at Marche, 313 Somerset. It's been a long time since we last ate at Marche.

Finally framed

Another task accomplished - Stream of Kamikouchi framed. We gave up searching for cheaper alternatives and bought the frame from the same store where we bought the puzzle last time. Lesson learnt - make sure the puzzle is of standard dimension.

It's Botak Burger for dinner tonight. Plus a plate of caesar salad to make me feel less guilty.

A cute piglet on a cupcake for my breakfast. I didn't have the heart to eat it, of course.. instead I threw it away as I ate only the cake :p

A furry friend

Visited friends' house this evening for dinner cum board game session. Managed to capture a few snapshots of their pets. This one is named Cash, and he sure loves that red pillow.

Birthday boy

Celebrating Prince HS's first birthday this evening.

Footprints on the path

Took another evening stroll at East Coast Park. These big footprints show this pathway is meant for walking and jogging. There is another path meant for cycling and skating.

Subway sandwich

A foot long cheese steak sandwich from Subway for dinner. Honey oatmeal, toasted. Stuffed with beef, cheese, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, olives, paprika and sweet onion sauce. Just the way we like it.

Yawn. A boring night with no interesting objects for the camera lens. This is a junction in the neighbourhood with HDB in progress at one corner, complete with cranes.

Colorful macarons

Pretty macarons on display at The Icing Room, a newly opened cake shop in nearby shopping mall that offers "design-it-yourself" cake service. Their decorations and displays are eye-catching, indeed.

One evening at East Coast Park

Taken on our evening stroll at East Coast Park. The place's much less crowded than on weekends. It still had a lively atmosphere, though, with people sitting around enjoying the sea view, people jogging, cycling, skating, walking, and of course, eating.

Teddy in the car

The brown teddy bear hanging below our rear-view mirror. It has been our car's mascot that distinguish it from other vehicles with same color and brand.

Layers of escalators

Escalators inside Compasspoint, a neighbourhood shopping mall which I visit frequently, located just 10 minutes walk from home.

Between Sengkang and Fernvale

The distance between Sengkang and Fernvale looks very near in the map, but walking between the two places we passed by very dark woods, a river, a bridge with a few shelters and built-in benches overlooking the river, 3 coffee shops and a number of junctions.

And oh, it's full moon tonight.
