Last frame

I planned to put up 4 frames on one of the wall sections at home. This is the last one. I decided to put up a scenery postcard I bought during 2007 holiday plus some travel mementos.

We had very late lunch at The Box Bistro this afternoon before doing some serious shopping at Courts. We usually eat at nearby Ikea but decided to try Court's restaurant this time round and we were not disappointed. Taken while waiting for our orders (fish & chips, gado-gado)..

First foie gras

Our first attempt at eating foie gras, hehe.. It's liver, and it's duck's to top it of, both of which I'm not quite fond of. Only now then I challenged myself to have a try. It did not taste like internal organs and did not taste like duck, so I'm ok with it.

Another public artwork found at the vicinity of Compass Point. The colors depict colorful celebration of National Day at Marina Bay area, as well as the athletes' joy in taking part in YOG.

One public artwork for island-wide post box painting competition with the theme Sports and the City, celebrating Singapore's winning bid in hosting the first YOG.

On top

This was taken inside a Singapore Flyer's capsule, with the Helix Bridge lying at the bottom. It does not look as impressive as night time as it's not lighted up. I really felt like a tourist, riding the ferris wheel for the first time.

I just noticed, the small white flat stairs must be the one used by the most recent winning team of Amazing Race when they did the fast forward challenge of moving from one capsule to the next at the height of 165m.

Garden on Fire

A free outdoor performance to mark the opening of Singapore Art Festival, called Invitation To Dream - A Fire Garden Installation, held at Empress Place precinct this weekend. It's one of a kind - unique, interesting, and definitely brought the temperature a few degrees up :)

This is what I love about this tiny island - interesting events being organized every now and then.
